Associate Legal Counsel

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

Finitas are hiring for an Associate Legal Counsel for a London Market Insurer to assist in delivering legal and risk management support on complex commercial, IT, and governance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal services, including negotiation, drafting, and interpretation of commercial contracts (IT, procurement, service agreements, data protection, IP, confidentiality, corporate transactions).
• Support corporate governance through Board meeting preparation, resolution drafting, and required filings.
• Provide legal advice to support compliance functions.

Skills & Experience:

• Law qualified.
• Advanced knowledge of industry best practices in Legal.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory/statutory frameworks affecting the insurance sector.
• Post-qualification experience in providing legal support to regulated financial services companies
• Effectively communicate complex legal issues to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the (re)insurance sector is advantageous but not essential.

As per the above, this role will be up to 3 days onsite.
