Our client is a global fintech company, due to unprecedented growth, they are looking for an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join the team. In this role you will deal with legal aspects across a wide range of commercial matters of the business, including client relations, relations with banking partners and other vendors, as well as employee relations and GDPR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Give accurate and timely counsel to management on legal aspects of our commercial activities, as well as labor law and GDPR
- Draft and review commercial, labor and GDPR-related agreements, contracts, amendments and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights
- Also contribute, as requested, to:
- Communications with external parties: regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.
- Research and evaluation of different legal risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Collaborate with the Head of Legal and Regulatory Compliance, as well as company management, to devise efficient legal strategies
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
- Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of alterations in legislation
Requirements:
- BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Banking / Financial Services, well-versed in industry best-practice
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial law, labor law, GDPR
- A high degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound judgment and strong analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Able to multitask
