Maternity Cover - 12 months

London / Hybrid

Day rate £500-£550 inside IR35

Finitas are working closely with a leading London Market Insurer looking to add a Contract Accountant to the team.

You will be supporting the Assistant Manager in preparing various reports in accordance with the UK and US GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist the reporting of the business on a US GAAP basis, including variance analysis, plan analysis, affiliate reporting, reserving analysis and continuous improvement - focus on ceded reinsurance
  • Work closely with various departments in the business to ensure appropriate data is available and readily accessible, to understand, calculate and appropriately account for specific insurance transactions
  • Partner with actuarial department for reserving, analysing actuarial inputs into Finance reinsurance processes, providing reconciled and understood adjustments and balances at appropriate granularity

What we're looking for:

  • CIMA/ACCA part qualified accountant
  • Reinsurance and/or Insurance industry experience - London Market
  • Very strong data manipulation skills. Advanced Excel skills
  • Naturally analytical with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in order to be able to work effectively with various department within the local business as well as the parent company
