Our client is a leading behavioural analytics and data driven marketing business designed for physical venues. Their technology solutions integrate a variety of data sources to understand physical spaces and their visitors.

They are looking for a SysOps expert to join the EMEA operations team. You will need to demonstrate best practice hands-on SysOps skills on a daily basis. You will be working to maintain and support Ubuntu Linux based on-premise, public cloud (AWS) and private cloud deployed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment and Operations

  • Deploy camera based analytics systems to high levels of quality
  • Deliver and support upgrades on existing deployments
  • Day to day operations, support and maintenance
  • Contribute to the successful change and release management for each installation
  • Capture issues, and where necessary, escalate them with proposed resolutions
  • Documentation of systems and platforms

Support and Maintenance

  • Support and maintain existing on-premise customer deployments in line with SLA's
  • Fleet management of the Edge Processors (IoT) devices
  • Liaise with customers on support and maintenance issues
  • Support and maintain systems including VMware, ProxMox, MySQL, Nagios, Apache, Docker and networking
  • IP camera configuration
  • Plan, carry out and report on proactive maintenance and monitoring to meet SLAs
  • Align with ITIL standards where appropriate
  • Working with tools such as ZenDesk, Jira, Confluence and Slack
  • Infrastructure architecture recommendations
  • Automation using Ansible
  • Backup strategy and implementation

Skills Required:

  • Good written and spoken communication as well as good customer facing/interaction skills
  • Expertise in Linux (Ubuntu / RedHat / Debian), Networking (VPN, VLANs, routing, SSH tunnels), Virtualisation using modern hypervisors such as VMWare, KVM and ProxMox
