Business Development/Marketing Manager, London

Our client is an established global treasury and risk management consultancy. This is an internal facing position supporting the management team in London and NYC. In this role, you will report to the global Head of and will be responsible for everything marketing including case studies, social media, business development campaigns and working with the C suite on strategies to develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a business marketing strategy around how to maximise and develop the existing client base as well as the engagement with clients in new markets.
  • Use business data to present and/or prepare recommendations for change and transformation to meet current and future business needs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, best practices, and weaknesses; suggest and implement changes to drive business efficiencies
  • Be solely responsible for all business development/marketing report creation and distribution.
  • Track and analyse key metrics across business functions to support growth and achieve targets.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through sales, operations, and business planning activities.
  • Manage external vendors (marketing/PR agencies) to ensure quality and delivery of marketing communications/collateral.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measure results, suggest and implement improvements.
  • Manage CRM system to ensure accurate data collection and maximize system effectiveness to delivery on business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants and senior management - obtain and maintain buy in.

Requirements

  • Experience in client management or client relationship management within financial services or consulting.
  • Strong background in using business data to create and drive business initiatives, client management and efficiencies.
  • Experience in business development - how to grow a business and think outside the box.
  • Proven consultative sales skills in a similar consultancy-led environment, strong listening skills, and excellent writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the importance of driving activity to deliver the results (i.e. managing the appropriate inputs to ensure the desired outputs).
  • Ability to communicate and consult with external vendors to drive marketing strategy (desirable).
  • Extensive experience in managing and developing CRM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a balanced open personality, straightforward in style with a sense of humour; an excellent relationship builder.
  • Must be influential and credible and be able to effectively communicate to all levels of stakeholders.
