Finitas are recruiting for a Cost Engineer for a well-known commercial strategy management company. Your role will be to collect and analyse data and information in order to estimate costs associated with your assigned project. With the opportunity to work on different projects you'll be a vital point of contact between key stakeholders. Working in the South-West you'll be helping with important projects, having the chance to move between projects and industries creating variety in your working life. There is scope for hybrid working, however this is subject to the project you will be assigned. Your responsibilities will include:

• Determine cost estimates at various stages of the project
• Gather information and formulate proposals
• Track budgets and ensure timely reporting into cost control systems
• Reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting of cost data
• Provide forecasts, cash flow analysis and monitor trends
• Liaise between departments, ensuring timely reporting of relevant information
• Support and assistance in the improvement of processes

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Excellent communication and articulate
• Strong analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Obtained Security Clearance or is obtainable and achievable
• Ability to work under pressure and organised to deliver to deadlines
• Commercially aware with project management skills, Cost Control techniques
• Knowledge of SAP and other software within Project Controls
