Job Summary
The primary role of Data Analyst is to support our analytics and consulting proposition through comprehensive requirements analysis; detailed and accurate preparation of varying data; identification, analysis and interpretation of patterns in complex datasets and creation of compelling, creative and informative visualisation that supports decision-making for our clients and stakeholders.
Working alongside our analytics, consulting and reporting specialists within the team, the Data Analyst plays a critical role in our evolving eco-system.
Key Responsibilites
- Build, develop, and maintain a suite of dashboards for use by clients and internal stakeholders globally
- Support the wellbeing programme and whitepaper research with analytical expertise and visualisation
- Creat charts, infographics, reporting and presentation materials to enable effective communication of analytics and insight
- Comprehensive requirements analysis
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and translating ideas into visualisations
- Fully document processes, models, calculation specifications, and tools
- Build efficient and reliable rules to validate, format, and transform data
Key requirements
- Previous success in a data-driven role with demonstrable ability in using Excel and/or business intelligence
- Proficiency in a standard data visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- SQL
- Solid foundational understanding of:
- Relational databases
- Data quality dimensions
- Able to articulate complex ideas, debate them and agree them as part of a team
- Experience working within the London Insurance market
- Experience of the following would be highly advantageous:
- R
- Power Query (M)
- Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
