Finitas Public Sector Finance are currently working with a number of Councils nationwide who are recruiting interim Principal Accountants on an interim and permanent basis.
Reporting to the Chief Accountant duties include:
- Providing Financial supporting and management across the Councils services
- Supporting Budget holders with their budget management and providing advice where necessary
- Budget Monitoring
- Preparation of medium and long term budget plans
- Assisting with the preparation of the Councils financial statements
- Assisting with Year End Audit
Desirable experience:
- A recognised CCAB (or equivalent) accountancy qualification
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of year end and month end accounting practices
