Head of Insurance & Compliance | Insurtech | WFH | £80 - 100,000
Finitas are delighted to be working with a growing Insurtech in their search for a newly created Head of Insurance & Compliance. You'll be a trusted advisor and a key player in getting things done!
As an experienced insurance specialist, you'll work with their partners to guide new features and products and own the strategy at an operational level. You'll be in charge of training, reporting, presenting and day-to-day compliance, as well as collaborating throughout any product development process.
Some responsibilities include:
- Identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Monitor key compliance metrics and shine a light on actionable insights.
- Evaluate systems and processes, ahead of their Direct Authorisation
- Produce monthly compliance, claims and product reports to the Board.
- Be involved in ad-hoc QA testing to ensure compliance.
- Actively monitor the market for new products and developments.
- Engage with underwriters and claims partners on a regular basis.
- Be responsible for Product Governance.
Experience required:
- Excellent insurance knowledge & experience
- Previous experience working with insurance or insurtechs, fintech or tech startups is beneficial.
- Previous experience of underwriting and product governance
- Impeccable verbal and written communication is a must
- Ability to build positive working relationships
- Extensive knowledge of compliance, risk, product, legal issues, etc.
