Finitas are partnered with a leading London market digital syndicate in their efforts to hire an experienced MI Data Analyst. You will have worked within a Lloyd's & Company market Sydicate and be familiar with syndicate data and reporting.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Effective assistance and liaison with the MIS Manager to manage current MI services.
- Contribute to the MI team with development, testing and implementation of new reporting solutions.
- To manage and develop MI reports and services to support business needs involving building queries, views, objects and testing reports.
- Development of new reports whilst enhancing existing reports using SQL and reporting services.
- Gathering reporting requirements from various departments and production of MI reports.
- Manage the analysis of data/reporting issues, engaging with other teams to understand and resolve issues at the root cause.
Experience/Skills:
- Prior Syndicate or Lloyd's market experience.
- Working knowledge of underwriting data flows would be advantageous.
- Effective and well developed communication skills.
- The ability to organise and prioritise workloads under pressure.
- Strong documentation skills with a high attention to detail.
- A good team player who can also work from own initiative.
- In-depth SQL knowledge including the ability to trouble shoot and performance tune queries.
- Experience of writing reports in SSRS would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
