Senior Business Data Analyst | Permanent | London
Responsibilities
- Identify the input data and their criticality for various risk, capital, RWA calculation engines
- Assess the existing data flows, data quality and define business validation rules to improve data quality for different data classes like trade, counterparty, market, instrument and other reference data
- Suggest the resolution of the data quality issues by working with technology, business and data governance teams
- Liaise with diverse business and IT teams focusing on data flows, usage, quality and criticality
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of data required for various RWA, risk, capital calculation engines
- Extensive background in various banking products such as loans, repo/SLB, bonds, derivatives
- Highly knowledgeable in risk management and finance and experienced in regulatory reporting
- Strong experience with working and creating data validation rules with various data classes
- Ability to write complex SQL needed queries to analyse and investigate data issues
- Familiarity with creating queries for big data platforms using Impala, Hive etc. is useful
- Well versed with data quality management
- Experience in coordinating and working with different business lines, technology and data governance teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
