Software Business Analyst, Fintech - Treasury/Risk Management - London - Competitive salary

We are working with a global treasury and risk management consultancy with offices in NYC, London and Singapore. We are looking for a technically strong BA to work in a small team designing the architecture for the business requirements of a new analytics platform. This is an exciting role in a rapidly growing fintech where you will be working with a global team of product managers and business analysts.

Responsibilities

* Design and translate business / commercial specifications into technical JIRA tickets for outsourced developers

* Review and approve pull requests initiated by the outsourced development team

* Use AGILE methodology to iterate and improve module through completion

* Work alongside senior stakeholders to define and design the architecture for the business requirements

* Interact with internal global resources to estimate, clarify, and define requirements

* Understand client requirements in order to incorporate all pertinent needs into module

* Be accountable for technical architecture and translation of business requirements

* Manage approval of pull requests - have sufficient understanding of codebase to review and accept pull requests from the outsourced development team

* Be willing to do development / coding work as required to facilitate project completion

* Document back-end requirements and architecture to all stakeholders

* Create wireframe Mock-ups

* Follow proper escalation procedures for any issues posing a risk to project deadlines

* Provide QA: comprehensive testing of initial and final product

* Work with PHP/Python Back-End Architecture /MySQL to code and release server-side enhancements and new features using AGILE development processes

* Monitor client usage and market trends and propose new services or changes to the service

Requirements

* Strong critical thinking skills with ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data

* Excellent interpersonal skills; must have a balanced, open, and team-based personality and an ability to work well under pressure

* Exceptional organizational and written and verbal communication skills

* Must be able to bridge the commercial and technical aspects of the product

* Coding experience is necessary in order to facilitate optimal utilization of outsourcing team as well as ability to review pull requests

* Ability build and develop internal working relationships

* Familiarity with Financial Services and SaaS products would be optimal

* Must have previous experience of Python, PHP, javascript and/or react.js, JIRA, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban

* Willingness to work in the office full-time when possible
