Job Title: Project Manager - 6-Month Contract

Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering projects related to SOX compliance, finance transformation, and GAAP analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects in a global environment, specifically with significant experience in the London market and a background in working with Big 4 firms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SOX Compliance Delivery:

   • Lead and manage projects related to SOX compliance, ensuring successful and timely delivery.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement SOX controls and processes effectively.
   • Provide expertise in SOX requirements from a delivery perspective.

2. Global Environment Experience:

   • Utilize previous experience in managing projects within a global context to drive successful project outcomes.
   • Navigate and overcome challenges associated with diverse and geographically dispersed teams.

3. Big 4 Management:

   • Leverage experience in managing Big 4 firms from a project delivery perspective.
   • Ensure effective collaboration and communication with external audit teams.

4. Finance Transformation:

   • Lead and contribute to finance transformation initiatives, driving positive change and efficiency improvements.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals with broader organizational objectives.

5. London Market Expertise:

   • Apply significant London market experience to understand and address specific challenges and nuances associated with the region.
   • Ensure project deliverables are tailored to meet local market requirements.

6. Communication:

   • Act as an excellent communicator, fostering open and transparent communication channels within the project team and with stakeholders.
   • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks.

7. GAAP Analysis/Processes:

   • Demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP analysis and processes, ensuring compliance and alignment with accounting standards.
   • Contribute expertise to enhance and streamline GAAP-related procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in a similar role, with a focus on SOX compliance and finance transformation.
• Strong background in managing projects within a global environment.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with and managing Big 4 firms.
• Finance transformation experience, preferably within the London market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of GAAP analysis and processes.
