Job Title: Contract Project Manager

Duration: 6 Months

Location: London, UK

Rate: £900 per day inside IR35

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of solid experience in the London market to join our client's team. Experience in the outward reinsurance delivery space within the finance and underwriting domains is desirable. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive expertise in managing full lifecycle business process outsourcing projects within the insurance sector.


  1. Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Management:

    • Lead end-to-end BPO projects, overseeing the transition of business processes to external vendors.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to ensure seamless outsourcing operations.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify outsourcing needs and formulate appropriate solutions.
  2. Commercial Management:

    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with external service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
    • Monitor financial aspects of outsourcing projects, including budgeting, cost analysis, and expenditure control.
    • Implement strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness and maximize ROI.
  3. Transition Planning:

    • Develop detailed transition plans outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth transition of processes.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the outsourcing transition.
  4. Training and Embedding:

    • Design and deliver training programs for internal staff and external vendors to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development.
    • Monitor the integration of outsourced processes into existing workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful embedding of outsourced processes.
  5. Business Process Management:

    • Oversee the implementation of standardized business processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, driving continuous enhancement initiatives.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of outsourced processes.
  6. Team Building and Leadership:

    • Build and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners to drive project success.


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on business process outsourcing in the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex BPO projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of the London market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Details:

  • This is a 6-month contract role based in London, with a possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
